Position Summary

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Bartender plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through expertly crafted beverages and engaging customer service. This position involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar, and ensuring responsible alcohol service in accordance with ProServe standards. As a Bartender at Silvertip Resort, you will create a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the highest hospitality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Provide friendly and engaging service, taking orders and offering recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, restocking as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Process payments accurately and complete end-of-shift reconciliations.
  • Stay knowledgeable about the drink menu, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Support special events and promotions in collaboration with management.
  • Adhere to ProServe and local alcohol service regulations, including ID checks and responsible service practices.
  • Assist in training new bartenders and contribute to menu development.
  • Document and report any incidents or accidents that occur during service.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience as a Bartender.
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality is an asset.
  • ProServe certification required (or willingness to obtain before start date).
  • Should be eligible to work in Canada full-time.
  • Strong mixology skills and knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in restaurant point of sale system is an asset.
  • Able to lift push or pull up to 40Ibs.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Duration: This is a Full-Time seasonal position (April to October) with potential for overtime during busy periods.
