Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.
Reporting to the Mine General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of large capital projects. The successful candidate will have a hybrid working schedule and provide overall Capital Projects Support for the Red Lake Madsen Mine Team.
The focus of the role will include:
- Ensure Capital Projects are conducted in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Ontario) and Regulations and environmental standards
- Comply with all safety requirements and observe all company policies and procedures
- Lead team members to safely maintain and operate all activities in the shaft and hoist
- Manage various Capital Projects to ensure delivery that is timely and on budget
- Regular reporting of project status to the larger team and corporate
- Manage and liaise with contractors and vendors
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- Completion of underground Supervisory Common Core
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a Project Manager role or similar
- Experience in managing Capital Projects a bonus
- The individual should have demonstrated leadership ability, a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with site and corporate personnel.
- Computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, scheduling and spreadsheet applications.
