Job Description

Internal Job Title: Product Strategy Manager
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Job Location: 18 Auriga Drive, Ottawa, ON
Work Model: Hybrid

Position Summary

As a Product Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for growing and developing our market and industry knowledge, building and developing effective subject matter content, advising business team leaders and shaping software development road maps. In this role you'll be a valued and collaborative member of the team that addresses market strategy, value creation, offering management, and marketing communication needs.

Responsibilities

  • Needs Assessment
    • Collaborate with clients to thoroughly understand their specific needs and requirements.
    • Engage in strategic discussions to evaluate and define complex solutions that address client challenges.
  • Relationship Management
    • Build and nurture productive, professional, and long-term relationships with a diverse client base, including decision-makers at various levels of government globally.
    • Represent the company in discussions regarding identity management technology, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client objectives.
  • R&D Collaboration
    • Champion new directions for the company's research and development agenda by identifying emerging system solutions.
    • Partner with R&D and Engineering teams to assess the feasibility of new ideas and explore options for bringing innovative solutions to market.
    • Support the development of business cases for new product development
  • Product Management
    • Act as a key member of the product management team focused on security solutions.
    • Provide guidance to the Product Owner and our development teams, ensuring alignment with client needs and market demands.
  • Proposal Development
    • Serve as a critical resource in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), helping to articulate meaningful and customized propositions that resonate with potential clients.
  • Various Other Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) and business acumen or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) and an affinity for technology
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Product management strategies/tools
    • Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or strategic marketing position

Technological Skills

  • Proficiency with MS O365
  • Proficiency with MS Project
  • Knowledge of Power BI is an asset

Mandatory Requirements

  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish is an asset
  • Ability to travel internationally approx. 4-6 weeks/year
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance
