We're Looking for a Class 3 Driver to Join Our Team!

As a Class 3 Driver at Cascadia Metals, you'll play a vital role in our operations. We seek a motivated and reliable team member who thrives on responsibility and teamwork. This role is more than just driving, it's about contributing to a collaborative environment where your dedication directly impacts our success.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Overtime: Required when necessary, including short-notice assignments
  • Communication: Strong communication skills are essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Driving & Deliveries: Operate a Class 3 commercial vehicle safely within Surrey and surrounding areas, primarily transporting sheet metal products (coil and sheet) using a flat deck with curtain sides.
  • Navigation & Load Securement: Ensure smooth deliveries, even to smaller shops, and properly secure loads to maintain product integrity.
  • Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-trip inspections, maintain a clean and professional company vehicle, and uphold high safety standards.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete driver logbooks and paperwork related to incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Customer & Team Interaction: Maintain professional communication with customers and team members, acting as an ambassador for Cascadia Metals.
  • Shop Assistance: When not on the road, assist with packaging and small maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 3 License with Air Brake Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience
  • Clean 5-year driver abstract
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with load securement (sheet metal) is an asset
  • Forklift certification & ability to load your own truck are assets but not required
