We're looking for aDirector, Data and Analytics to join our team! Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Data and Analytics provides leadership and direction to the planning, development and implementation of strategies to improve mental health services, utilizing technology to drive innovation. The Director leads the strategic and operational aspects of data analytics to drive business insights and decision-making, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Status: Full-Time Permanent, 37.5 hours a week. Note, this posting is for an active vacancy.

Base Salary: $99,461 - $117,013 annually (Candidate qualifications will be considered when determining the starting salary)

Location: 314-7700 Hurontario St., Brampton, Ontario

What you will do:

  • Act as a liaison between Corporate Services, the Organization, Senior Management, identifying opportunities for change, the shift in mindsets and behaviours that are required to achieve those changes and operationalizing strategic initiatives of the organization
  • Provide strategic direction for the design, enhancement, and deployment of data and analytics infrastructure specific toCMHA Peel Dufferin
  • Lead team in analyzing project data needs and defining project scope
  • Oversee and lead all aspects of evaluation reporting including development of and improvements to data visualization, infographics and descriptive presentation of data
  • Ensure completed and accurate reports are submitted to funders and key stakeholders according to reports schedule, as well as the production and submission of reports and analysis on ad-hoc basis
  • Develop recommendations and implement solutions for improving data collection and quality
  • Collect, maintain, evaluate and improve data to support improvement and innovation across the organization
  • Drive the development of interactive dashboards and reporting environments that provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead the research and implementation of tools, methodologies and best practices to promote, support and drive innovation and continuous improvement including leadership on strategies for generation of ideas, creative thinking and development of business solutions.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership team in the establishment of priority innovation and business improvement projects and services. Leads and manages significant and complex projects on behalf of the organization engaging partners and cross-functional teams.

What you need to join our team

  • A degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or related discipline. A Graduate degree in a related discipline is an asset.
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience leading innovation across a diverse organization including business and IT solutions, with demonstrated experience in leadership and people management, preferable in the health, social services or not-for profit sector
  • Expertise in business improvement/innovation-related (e.g. lean, six sigma, design-thinking etc.) and project management principles, methodologies and best practices. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Extensive experience in data analytics, data governance, data quality and reporting
  • Experience leading and working with diverse cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams across community and regional geography
  • Analytical, research and solution-developing skills with the ability to apply innovation and progressive business practices. Ability to interpret and translate data in action.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence
  • Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
  • Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework
  • Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset
  • Valid Canadian drivers license and access to an insured automobile in good repair
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
