About the Role:

Reporting

The Delivery Driver reports directly to the Senior Materials Manager.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Transport company and customer material between Avmax and third-party facilities.
  • Perform company errands, deliver mail, bank deposits, and courier drops.
  • Obtain and provide signatures on all deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Track activities in the ERP system and Driver Logbook.
  • Assist with material handling and other daily duties at all company facilities.
  • Verify that all material being handled has the correct documentation.
  • Verify that all material being handled is stored adequately for transportation purposes.
  • Retrieve and deliver parts to offsite locations.
  • Maintain tire pressure, fluid levels, and the cleanliness of the company vehicle.
  • Report any vehicle mechanical issues or material discrepancies to the Senior Materials Manager.
  • Load and unload the company vehicle while observing safe handling and work practices.
  • Ensuring adequate fuel levels for weekday and weekend use.
  • Assisting facilities staff with oversize or technical shipments between facilities.
  • Handling a company phone and promptly responding to internal communications and requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Clean driver's abstract and class 5 license.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Genial, friendly manner.

Experience

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
