At Securiguard your hard work is recognized and rewarded! Currently seeking to hire and place a security guard at our gatehouse position in Alliston, Ontario. The candidate must be able to commit to commuting to the job site in Alliston.

Position Details:

• Monday to Friday: 0800-1600 (40 Hours Weekly, with the possibility of mandatory extra overtime shift on Saturday)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct foot patrols as required and physically check gate & trailer security as required.
• CTPAT inspections on inbound/outbound trucks
• Supporting the gatehouse during rush hour periods
• Unlocks, lock ups, equipment checks as required.
• Check paperwork and identification of drivers coming into the site and direct to appropriate areas of the trailer yard.
• Inspect paperwork provided by truck drivers, confirm trailer contents
• Inspect undercarriage of international trucks/trailers as per the Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide first aid as required
• Carrying out duties while maintaining excellent standards of customer care
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and investigating.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Security Guard Licence
• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
• Valid First Aid / CPR certificate
• Must be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to complete daily logs and write detailed reports.
• Basic computer skills
• Must have your own transportation to and from work location.
