We're looking for afull-time permanent Director, Clinical Services to join our team! The Directorwill provide leadership, vision, operational direction and overall coordination of CMHA Peel Dufferin Clinical Services. They will ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services in keeping with the Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan of CMHA Peel Dufferin. The incumbent will also ensure fiscal responsibility, including funding and service targets accountability, within clinical services and develop and implement funding proposals and reports in response to needs identified.
Status: Full-Time Permanent, 37.5 hours a week, some evenings/weekends may be required. Note, this posting is for an active vacancy.
Base Salary: $99,461 - $117,013 annually (Candidate qualifications will be considered when determining the starting salary)
Location: Brampton, Ontario
What you will do:
- Provide leadership to ensure the provision of quality clinical services to clients
- Responsible for overall operations and quality assurance and initiatives of designated portfolio of programs and services, including the development of operating plans and outcomes, special projects and new initiatives, in consultation with managers and senior management
- Participates in direct service programming including Direct Service Management meetings, on-call back up and resolution of service complaints, as necessary
- Maintains on-going liaison with referring agencies and other community organizations participating in interagency planning and coordination as required
- Presents and interprets services to referring agencies and the community representing CMHA Peel Dufferin in a professional manner
- Participates in community development initiatives as indicated by relevant strategic direction in consultation with the Senior Director
- Manages all aspects of people management for direct reports including recruitment, orientation, coaching, mentoring, performance management and learning and development.
- Oversees budgetary planning, monitoring and reporting for the designated portfolio of programs in consultation with the Senior Director.

What you need to join our team
- Bachelors Degree in health, social services or related discipline such as counselling and psychotherapy, social work or nursing. A Bachelor of Nursing is an asset.
- Must be registered in Ontario as a member in good standing with an appropriate regulatory college (Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker, Registered Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 10 years of experience working with clients with complex needs in the acute mental health sector, preferably community based.
- Minimum 5 years leadership/management experience including clinically supervising staff; supporting a multi-disciplinary team, program, organizational and community development.
- Previous experience leading interdisciplinary teams including regulated and registered health professionals (psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and physicians).
- Direct experience working or supervising staff who worked with adults with serious mental illness, dual diagnosis and/or concurrent disorders an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence
- Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
- Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework
- Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset
- Valid Canadian drivers license and access to an insured automobile in good repair
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
