We are excited to grow our team with a full-time role for a Solution Consultant specializing in our solutions for Finance & Operations.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Solution Consultant is primarily responsible for supporting the sale of Binary Stream products through the pre-sales phase of the sales cycle. Customer facing, the SC is a trusted advisor to our partners and end-users, leveraging their knowledge of our portfolio of solutions for Finance & Operations. The SC will be required to assist with needs discovery and analysis, requirements mapping, and delivering effective demonstrations to partners and end users. The SC often acts as a bridge between Partner SI's, End Users and the internal Binary Stream team. In this role, the Solution Consultant must continually strive to be an expert across all Finance & Operations Binary Stream Software business solutions.

As a Solution Consultant, you will be responsible for:

Product Demo:

• Support Account Executives with expertise in D365 Finance & Operations.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and understand customer requirements.
• Document key requirements and identify those needing enhancements or customizations.
• Demonstrate complex workarounds using Binary Stream functionality in innovative ways.
• Highlight the business impacts of implementing Binary Stream solutions, showcasing a comprehensive understanding to potential clients.

Sale Cycle Advancement:

• Work to reduce the length of the sales cycle and increase sales volume.
• Contribute to sales strategy and positioning in the post-demo phase.

Product Development:

• Assist in strategic decision-making for product direction.
• Champion the development of beneficial features.
• Provide insightful feedback for new product development, including prioritizing MVP features and deferring others.
• Collaborate with the product development team to prioritize end customer-specific and product roadmap feature requirements.

Technical and Educational Presentations:

• Create and deliver technical and educational presentations for Binary Stream solutions, both in-person and via webinars.
• Work with the marketing team to create, update, and improve collateral.

Client and Partner Relations:

• Support new and existing clients efficiently and confidentially.
• Maintain and promote ethical relations with clients and partners.
• Capture emerging requirements through interactions with Microsoft partners and customers, and recommend product ideas for development cycles.
• Participate in select trade shows and partner visits, including international travel.
• Travel as needed and complete other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, D365 Finance & Operations).
• Understanding of Microsoft channel and partnerships with Value Added Resellers (VARs), System Integrators (SIs) and the Microsoft Integrated Software Vendor community (ISVs) is considered an asset.
• Intermediate knowledge in Accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
• Intermediate mathematical skills re: costing / estimating projects.
• Intermediate to advanced presentation skills with the ability to clearly demo products in front of customers.
• Proficiency with technologies such as remote collaboration tools i.e. VPN, Go to meeting, webinars and adept to emerging technology tools.
  

Experience and Education:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in business and/or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of Pre-Sales Consulting or related experience working with ERP platforms.
• Previous ERP platform experience (SAP, NetSuite with a preference to D365 Finance & Operations (AX)).
  
• CPA designation is considered an asset.
  
• Microsoft Certification in D365F&O is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits Package:

At Binary Stream, we know compensation is important to our people. To stay competitive with our pay and benefits, annually we collect and analyze industry benchmarking data from the technology sector across Canada. This data is used to regularly update our salary ranges.

OTE range for new employees: 119,300 161,100 CAD

Compensation Structure:This role comes with uncapped commission, where the pay range as On Target Earnings (OTE) is calculated as base salary + on-target incentives. To ensure a smooth transition, we offer guaranteed commission for the first six months.

Pay Range Insights:This OTE range signifies the minimum and maximum for a new hire in this role. The pay we offer a successful candidate will be determined by factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. In exceptional cases, the compensation we offer may fall outside this range.
