We are seeking a Robotics Technician to join our client's manufacturing team in the Waterloo, ON region.
Shift - 8 hrs rotating
Pay - Depends on experience
- Install, program, and maintain industrial robots used in automotive manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems, ensuring minimal downtime in production.
- Perform preventive maintenance on robotic arms, controllers, and other automation equipment.
- Calibrate and fine-tune robotic movements for optimal efficiency and precision.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve robotic automation processes.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Train production staff on the proper use and maintenance of robotic systems.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in industrial robotics, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in robotic programming languages (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman).
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and automation integration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with vision systems and sensor technologies.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if needed.
- Experience with robotic welding, painting, or assembly applications.
- Certification in industrial robotics or automation systems.
