Job Summary:We are seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) with Mammography experience to join our healthcare team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms following established protocols and guidelines.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the imaging process.
Assess image quality and communicate findings to radiologists as needed.
Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow CNSC, CMRTO, and Health Canada regulations regarding radiation safety and quality assurance.
Document procedures and patient information accurately in the system.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.
Assist in breast biopsy procedures and other interventional mammography techniques as required.
Stay up to date with advancements in mammography and breast imaging techniques.
Certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) in Ontario.
Registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
Mammography certification (or willingness to obtain, if applicable).
Experience in mammography, including breast screening and diagnostic imaging.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality control measures.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Experience with breast biopsy procedures and interventional mammography.
Additional training or certification in Breast Imaging / Breast Ultrasound.
Experience with digital mammography systems and PACS.
