Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) – Mammography

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Type: Part-Time - Casual

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) with Mammography experience to join our healthcare team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms following established protocols and guidelines.

  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the imaging process.

  • Assess image quality and communicate findings to radiologists as needed.

  • Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Follow CNSC, CMRTO, and Health Canada regulations regarding radiation safety and quality assurance.

  • Document procedures and patient information accurately in the system.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.

  • Assist in breast biopsy procedures and other interventional mammography techniques as required.

  • Stay up to date with advancements in mammography and breast imaging techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) in Ontario.

  • Registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

  • Mammography certification (or willingness to obtain, if applicable).

  • Experience in mammography, including breast screening and diagnostic imaging.

  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality control measures.

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with breast biopsy procedures and interventional mammography.

  • Additional training or certification in Breast Imaging / Breast Ultrasound.

  • Experience with digital mammography systems and PACS.
