DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds relationships and creates strong communication channels with project staff and hiring managers across the company.
  • Streamlining onboarding process, ensuring quality candidates are hired to reduce turnover.
  • Sourcing qualified candidates for open positions through appropriate job boards and contacting referrals.
  • Responsible for employee hiring, onboarding, training, termination and record maintenance.
  • Develops, administers and ensures compliance with Human Resource policies
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems.
  • Addresses and solves problems brought forward by employees
  • Compiles statistical data related to various human resources areas such as orientation numbers, training, turnover, etc.
  • Prepares and produces various reports, as requested.
  • Participates in professional development and mentorship opportunities
  • The Human Resources Generalist I reports to and takes direction from the Director, Workforce Solutions.

PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES

  • Comprehends the importance of teamwork to achieve common goals.
  • Completes assigned tasks on time and consistently achieves results.
  • Work is closely supervised.
  • Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
  • Experience with Applicant tracking databases, ERP Systems and Microsoft 365 (all applications).

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1-3 years of technical recruitment experience.
  • Post-secondary education in human resources or a related field preferred.
