Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for a permanent full-time Payroll and Human Resources Generalist in a hybrid capacity. Location: 190 Attwell Dr, Suite 490 Toronto
Role Summary :
The Human Resources Generalist will support the daily functions of the HR department, including assisting the HRBPs, Recruitment Specialist and the Payroll Manager. This role will support the delivery of HR strategies to support the business. The Generalist together with the HR team, implements and communicates company programs to attract talent, increase morale, retention, and performance.
Admin:
- Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations
- Manages employee policies, HR handbook, HR Intranet site, communication to managers and employee population
- Provides recruiting assistance and candidate screening and assessment, offer letters, job postings, conducting background and reference checks
- Maintains current and accurate electronic employee records
- Ensures employee benefits are commenced on time and audited regularly
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti- harassment training, AODA training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
Special Projects:
- Participates in the job evaluation project with other HR members; assisting manager with writing job descriptions
- Enhances the on-boarding project, ensuring the local centres are onboarding employees consistently with the tools that HR provides
- Investigates training opportunities for new manager or group needs, implements external training options
- Assists managers and employees with the performance management programs
- Other activities as part of the annual HR
- Supports year end annual salary and bonus administration for submission to CEO CFO
- Calculates and submits remittances for WCB/WSIB and BC EHT, and other as needed
- Creates and issues specific Business Intelligence reports, monthly/quarterly/annually and when requested
- Responds in a timely manner to all payroll related questions and assists with resolution to issues
- Manages the PTO plans with the payroll manager, ensuring managers are utilizing the carry over and current year balances appropriately
- Ensures that confidential and sensitive data is protected by the security and privacy protocols of the organization
- HR designation, CHRP completed or in progress, or related experience
- 3-5 years experience working in an HR or administrative capacity
- Mid-to-advanced knowledge of Excel (vlookup and pivot tables)
- Knowledge of governing Employment Standards legislation in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec
- Excellent organizational, communication and relationship capabilities
- Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
- A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and UKG payroll software
