The Role:

Our Groups Destination Specialists channel their love of travel to advise and create customized travel experiences for all types of group travel. You will be joining a dedicated team of passionate travellers and sales experts. Here are some of the things you will do:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize your exceptional sales skills to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings by implementing effective qualification, follow-up, and quote management techniques tailored for customized group travel.

  2. Draw on your passion for travel and personal experiences to design and personalize unique itineraries for groups. These tailored journeys may include thrilling adventures in the Australian Outback, unforgettable golf outings in Victoria, immersive circumnavigation cruises of Iceland, culinary tours in Italy, or meaningful religious pilgrimages to Portugal.

  3. Create engaging, interactive, and personalized itineraries that reflect the specific needs and preferences of each group.

  4. Ensure all bookings are handled with careful attention to detail, managing administrative tasks and overseeing every element of the proposal and quoting process.

  5. Communicate our group travel offerings and commitment to service through various platforms, including email, phone, video, and chat.

  6. Present your customized itineraries to group organizers confidently, inspiring excitement and bookings.

  7. Build strong, lasting relationships with your customers to encourage referrals and repeat business for customized group trips.

  8. Represent Goway's values in all aspects of your work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a sales-driven environment with a strong understanding of the travel industry. You anticipate customer needs and excel at closing sales.
  • Proactive mindset and goal-oriented approach, equipped with the right tools and motivation to achieve sales targets in a fast-paced setting.
  • Skilled in customizing travel solutions to meet individual needs, recognizing that building strong customer relationships is key.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks, including handling inquiries, follow-ups, and processing documentation.
  • Curious and eager to learn, always seeking to expand your knowledge of destinations and the industry.
  • Technically savvy with GDS experience, preferably Amadeus, and a solid understanding of reservation systems for efficient workflow.
  • A true team player, thriving in a collaborative environment where success is shared with like-minded, passionate professionals.
  • Experience with MICE is beneficial.
