FRANCHISE REGIONAL MANAGER (FOOD SERVICE)

Job Responsibilities:
The Franchise Regional Manager will oversee the operations of franchise stores within a designated region in Ontario West (Hwy 410 to west) London, Niagara, Windsor, Kitchener. This role ensures that franchisees meet Bento's operational standards, achieve financial performance goals, and uphold the high standard of food safety, customer service, reputation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong operational expertise and a passion for building relationships.
Recruitment:
- Collaborate with the People Operations and Franchise departments during the hiring process.
- Follow up with new franchises to ensure a smooth hiring and onboarding experience.
Franchisee Support and Development:
- Act as the primary point of contact for franchisees, providing guidance on business operations.
- Provide hands-on support to franchisees to improve overall program and quality execution and performance levels
- Ensure franchisees effectively implement and execute company programs and systems.
- Provide ongoing support and follow up to maintain consistency across all locations.
Performance Management:
- Manage P&L for a dedicated region to meet budget goals.
- Review franchise sales performance and provide coaching and guidance as needed.
- Work with franchisees to optimize profitability and control costs.
- Analyze performance metrics, including sales, customer feedback, and operational KPIs including food safety.
- Develop action plans for underperforming locations and recognize top performers.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure all franchise stores adhere to Bento's operational standards, food safety and brand guidelines.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement and provide the training.
- Conduct monthly audits for each store.
Training and Compliance:
- Facilitate training programs for franchisees and their teams to ensure consistent execution of Bento Sushi's brand standards.
- Monitor compliance with franchise agreements and address any violations or issues.
Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with both franchisees and store management to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual success.
- Collaborate with store leadership to address any concerns or opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional support teams to support franchise operations.
- Communicate corporate initiatives and updates to franchisees effectively.
Qualifications
- Post secondary education.
- Diploma / bachelor's degree in hospitality management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit management experience, preferably in the foodservice, QSR, or franchise industry.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence, food safety and achieving financial results.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with franchisees.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Travel is required, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
