We're on the lookout for a dynamic General Shop Labourer to become an integral part of our team. The perfect fit will possess a foundation in general shop work, with a knack for handling diverse tasks and responsibilities. As an General Shop Labourer, you'll dive into a range of duties, from assisting with projects to ensuring the smooth operation of our shop floor.

Duties and responsibilities:
You will have a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- General fabrication shop clean-up to maintain a safe and neat environment
- Cleaning of welded surfaces (Mechanical / Abrasive)
- Shipping and Receiving Support
- Handle and transfer fabrication materials and purchased components.
- Safe Use/Operation of forklifts, cranes and other equipment related to job requirements
- Good health and mobility to perform the physical demands of the job.
- Ability to stand for extended durations and lift items by hand (30-40lbs)
- Occasional Confined Space work activities
- Familiarity with small hand tools and basic carpentry skills would be an asset.
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- No experience necessary but warehouse, mechanical background would be considered an asset.
- All required training and PPE supplied by AWC.
Health / Quality Responsibilities:
- Immediately report any accidents or incidents and cooperate in their investigation.
- Cease work when conditions are unsafe and report them to management.
- Maintain orderly and clean work areas.
- Use and maintain safety equipment, work tools, and personal protective equipment as required.
Hourly Wage: $25-$29/hr
Hours:Full time day shift with overtime opportunities.
Location:Central Fraser Valley location close to Exit 58 / 200th St/E, HWY-1.

Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Foundation in general shop work and familiarity with small hand tools and basic carpentry skills would be an asset.
