NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position in Downtown Vancouver.

There is a hybrid option after 3 months of employment* (4 days in-office, 1 day WFH), after 1 year of employment* (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH)

As a Business Analyst for the Bloom - Personal Finance mobile app, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product development, engineering, and data analytics. You will gather and analyze business requirements to ensure they translate into engaging and user-friendly mobile interfaces. Mobile experience is a must-have for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with UI/UX designers to understand user needs through interviews, surveys, and user testing. Translate complex business needs into functional and UI requirements. (Mobile UI/UX)
  • Business Process and User Experience Analysis: Map and analyze current business processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for UI enhancement; and develop workflow diagrams and user journey maps.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements (BRDs), product requirements (PRDs), and UI design specifications.
  • UI/UX Design Collaboration: Collaborate with design teams to ensure solutions are visually appealing and user-friendly, also assist in creating mockups and prototypes.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee the creation of detailed test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), focusing on usability and adherence to UI requirements.
  • Training and Support: Develop user interface guides and conduct training sessions to help end-users navigate new interfaces effectively.

What You Should Already Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the fintech sector, with significant exposure to UI/UX design.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a keen eye for user-friendly design and attention to detail.
  • Experience with UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
  • Proficiency in AGILE methodologies, with experience using tools like Jira and Confluence.
