The Green Party of Canada is seekingTemporary Candidate Administration Support Team Memberswith a passion for environmental protection and social justice to join our team for the election season.

Job Type:Short term contract position. The successful applicant will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week. Some evening/weekend work may be required and will be compensated accordingly. This is a union position and during the election the successful applicant will be expected to work additional hours and additional days but will be compensated at 1.5 times the posted rate for the position.

The Green Party of Canada (GPC) is a federal political party with two great MPs (Elizabeth May and Mike Morrice), co-leaders Jonathan Pedneault and Elizabeth May, and lots of supporters.

We are carving out a niche in Canadian politics with a unique message and lots of hard work.

Strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as well as a demeanor that is both professional and personable.

Excellent organizational and administrative skills required. Bilingual (French/English) preferred, but unilingual English or French only candidates will be considered.

The successful candidate will work well under pressure and look forward to a fast-paced, high energy work environment.

The Candidate Admin Support is required to:

Work closely with candidates from across Canada to ensure that they are fulfilling all Election Canada and Green Party requirements

  • Signatures collected
  • Registration submitted
  • Briefing notes

Provide administrative support to candidates to ensure that they are fully integrated with GPC systems:

  • Email address
  • Data entry
  • Contact information on EDA page

Support candidates in setting up their candidate page on the GPC website, including

  • Biography
  • Photo
