You'll Do:
- Work a compressed work week, on rotating 12-hour day and night shifts including weekends. The mill operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and an energy plant operator must be always present. You are exceptionally reliable.
- You will work closely with production and maintenance personnel, ensuring the energy plant (hot oil) reliably supports mill operations. You will operate, maintain and support other mill systems including the WESP and fire suppression system.
- Light maintenance duties and assisting the shifter maintenance team as needed
- Operation of a wheel loader moving wood residuals will be required
- Strict adherence to company safety standards and follow Safe work practices such as Lock-out, Pre-task hazard assessments, etc.
You have:
- A valid Alberta Fourth Class Power Engineering certificate
- Mechanical aptitude; excellent problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The desire to learn, grow and succeed
- Industrial mill experience, preferred
- Previous loader experience is an asset

- A competitive hourly pay rate is offered for this position depending on experience.
