As a Project Manager, youre at the heart of our Landscape Construction operations, guiding projects from start to finish while ensuring every detail aligns with our proven processes and high standards. Reporting to the Director of Projects, you'll follow our Project Manager Playbook, your go-to guide for every stage of a project, from planning to closeout, including budget oversight, critical reports, and much more.

What You Will Do:

Project Administration

Set up and maintain projects in our system.

Create and update project tracking sheets to keep everything on course.

Pre-Construction

Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Review and finalize project costs while identifying opportunities for value engineering.

Develop project schedules, issue purchase orders, and award contracts.

Oversee comprehensive project setupa critical step for success.

Conduct site and client visits, prepare work packages, and lead key meetings (like project kickoffs).

Project Management During Construction

Stay on top of schedules and projections, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Manage budgets and finances, keeping projects on track and within scope.

Lead and support site teams and subcontractors to achieve success.

Handle any required reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Project Closeout

Oversee substantial completion and the transition to maintenance.

Conduct site walkthroughs and ensure deficiencies are addressed.

Finalize documentation and review project completion details.

Team & Relationship Building

Monitor current and future workloads, keeping everyone informed and prepared.

Set performance and growth goals for your team while fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.

Act as a bridge between the office and the field, ensuring clear communication and successful project execution.

What makes you a great fit for our Team:

  • Education & Certifications:
    • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Certifications like Red Seal, CHT, CLM, or ISA are an asset (completed or in progress).
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of construction industry experience, ideally in landscaping.
    • Minimum of 2 years in project management roles.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and tools like BlueBeam, MS Project
    • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, drawings, safety protocols, and building codes.
    • Skilled in budgeting, cost estimating, contract documents, and project specifications.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, paired with sound decision-making abilities.
    • Customer-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.
    • Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, both in the office and on-site.
    • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, cooperative work environment.
  • Work Environment:
    • A dynamic mix of indoor office work and outdoor site management.
    • Hybrid flexibility available

Whats in it for you?

  • Starting base wage of $90,000-130,000 based on previous experience
