Description Join Orangutech as the Technical Development Lead for Pathlight.ai, our cutting-edge in-house AI/ML product. In this key role, you will lead the technical development of Pathlight.ai, ensuring a scalable and robust product architecture while shaping its future roadmap. You'll also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the go-to-market strategy within our core vertical, the Government of Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and impact with a product that leads the way in AI/ML solutions for the public sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Team Lead/ Manager:
- Oversee the day-to-day development team for the Pathlight.ai product including weekly sprint huddles, task prioritization, and code reviews .- Manage the long-term growth of the Pathlight.ai product team, including job description reviews, annual performance reviews, etc.- Continual focus on learning and education to enhance current knowledge base and ensure application of best practices within your team- Responsible for the creation of a 3-year resourcing roadmap based on the company growth strategy. Product Manager & Engineering:- Make recommendations about product development, architecture, and backlog prioritization based on input from customers, usage data, market research, and the company growth strategy.- Be responsible for developing core components of the Pathlight.ai platform using a mixture of different cloud-based development tools- Document, analyze, and evaluate data with a customer-centric approach, generating detailed user stories which will be the basis for future software development.- Champion Agile development best practices.- Support AI Developers at various stages of development to problem solve issues, prioritize tasks, and code review- Stay up to date on changes within the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure, etc.) that may affect the product roadmap.- Attend and support with client facing meetings, collaborating with Solutions Engineers & Account Executives to understand and document client needs around Pathlight.ai- Provide reporting and updates to Orangutech leadership team on product development progress, issues, and mitigation paths.- Work closely with Orangutech leadership team on the ongoing Pathlight.ai development needs, deployment process, and support structure.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - At least 5+ years of proven experience in product development in a technical capacity, preferably in a SaaS based solution environment.- In-depth understanding of current Government of Canada (GoC) security trends, policies, and frameworks, including relevant directives, compliance requirements, and best practices for protecting sensitive information in a cloud and hybrid environment.- Good understanding and completion of projects using Agile methodology.- Demonstrable skills in Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, Typescript, Python or other Cloud based development tools.- Provide direction and develop solutions that are scalable and resilient within different cloud architectures, considering factors like load balancing, data storage, and security. - Utilizing Azure DevOps methodologies for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) to streamline the development process and improve delivery speed. - Creates process instructions for development & support operations as well as technical documentation. - Demonstrate knowledge of automated software testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, test driven development (TDD) and behaviour driven development (BDD).- Demonstrate knowledge of creating Terraform packaging / build scripts.- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource to application stack traces.- Track record in implementing systems with high availability, high performance, high security hosted at various data centres or hybrid cloud environments will be an added advantage. - Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.- Fostering good teamwork- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.- Experience in Microsoft related technologies such as M365, Azure, DevOps etc.- Experience with database technologies like relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases. - Strong understanding of AI terminology and AI model creation.- Knowledge of Machine Learning.
