Our areas of diagnostics and therapeutics include echocardiography, exercise stress testing, 24- and 48-hour holter monitoring, pulmonary function testing, level 1 and level 3 sleep testing, 24 hour BP monitoring, CPAP and BiPAP therapy, respiratory home care and home oxygen therapy and allergy testing.

The Role:
Are you a patient focused Echocardiography Technologist with excellent clinical skills looking for a new role? PulseAir Heart and Lung Centre is presently recruiting in this position for our busy clinic in South Edmonton.
The Responsibilities Include:
- Ensures patient information is accurate both in the diagnostic machines and on chart paperwork.
- Thoroughly explains the test procedure to patients, easing patient anxieties and answers all question they may have regarding the exam.
- Uses proper patient preparation, equipment settings, and correct interpretation techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety, to prevent compromised data acquisition and to ensure accuracy.
- Performs high quality diagnostic ultrasound testing, ensures excellent image quality, and provides accurate information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will summarize test results and generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
- Applies independent judgment and critical thinking during the examination to ensure that all appropriate data is accurately captured.
- Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition and ensures the examination rooms are properly supplied, equipped and operational before, during and after each shift.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Works with an interdisciplinary team and other support staff to provide optimal patient care.
- During down time, helps to ensure office tasks are complete, supplies orders put away and clinic maintenance performed.
The Requirements:
- - 1 year experience in a similar role performing cardiac ultrasound
- - Current license with ARDMS
- - Familiarity with GE Vivid S6, S70 and E95 machines
- - BLS certification
- - Excellent multitasking and communication skills
- -Full COVID-19 Vaccination
