About the Job
Vendastas Payroll & Benefits Manager will be responsible for leading payroll processing, compliance, and benefits administration across our global workforce. This role ensures that employees are paid accurately and on time, payroll operations remain fully compliant, and Vendasta continues to improve process efficiencies through automation and best practices.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a larger organization, and is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. Experience with ADP is a strong asset, as well as familiarity with an HRIS such as BambooHR.
Your Impact
As a Payroll & Benefits Manager, you will:
- Own the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for employees across multiple regions.
- Maintain compliance with Canadian payroll laws, tax requirements, and employment standards while staying updated on global payroll regulations.
- Oversee benefits administration, ensuring seamless integration with payroll and supporting employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Manage payroll systems and reporting, working with ADP and other payroll software to optimize workflows and improve automation.
- Ensure accurate payroll reconciliations, deductions, and reporting, working closely with Finance and HR teams to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure alignment between payroll, benefits, and employee policies, streamlining processes across departments.
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements, bringing efficiency and scalability to global payroll operations.
- Potentially step into a people management role, overseeing payroll specialists or team members as Vendasta continues to grow.
What You Bring to the Table
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is required.
- 3-5 years of direct experience running payroll, with preference for candidates who have managed payroll for a larger organization.
- Thorough understanding of Canadian payroll laws, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
- Experience working with payroll software is required, with ADP experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with HRISs such as BambooHR or similar platforms is an asset.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a passion for accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
- Experience managing a team is a strong asset, though candidates looking to grow into a leadership role may be considered.
