Position Overview
Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for managing inventory levels, analyzing data, generating reports, and optimizing inventory control systems. This role ensures data accuracy, identifies discrepancies, and implements process improvements to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction. The Analyst will also collaborate with cross functional teams to track inventory transactions accurately and maintain warehouse layout parameters.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain the accuracy of inventory data, ensuring optimal stock levels across multiple locations or warehouses.
  • Identify, analyze, and promptly resolve any discrepancies in inventory records to maintain data accuracy.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and resolve any discrepancies in alignment with company policies and standards.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) and other analytical tools to analyze trends, forecasting models, producing detailed reports on inventory movements, turnover rates, and variances.
  • Create detailed, clear, and accurate inventory reports on stock movements, turnover rates, and variances. Present findings and recommendations to management team.
  • Ensure alignment with business needs to prevent overstock or stockouts.
  • Perform regular inventory reconciliations, working closely with cross functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure system accuracy.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, order accuracy, and supplier performance.
  • Regularly report and analyze these metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement tasks and projects to drive company efficiency.

Ideal Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in Inventory Management
  • Understanding of technical aspects of warehouse operations including storage solutions and distribution
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of bulk and finish goods processes
  • Able to communicate effectively with various organizational levels including warehouse floor employees and customers
  • Knowledge of ERP systems an asset
  • Experience in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to various DC locations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Flexibility to work on day and evening shifts; may require additional hours to meet inventory deadlines or address urgent matters.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Minimal physical demands, primarily involving sitting, using a computer, and other office-related activities.
  • Some lifting may be required
