Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Administrative Assistant to join their Head Office team, based in Bonnyville. This position is responsible for various accounting support as well as the clerical operations of the Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation.

Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation is a non-profit Organization dedicated to providing safe and affordable housing for seniors and families within the M.D of Bonnyville, City of Cold Lake, Town of Bonnyville, and Village of Glendon. Our commitment is to treat all individuals with dignity and respect, while delivering high-quality service and support to our residents.

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week). Lakeland Lodge and Housing offers a highly collaborative team environment with a competitive wage and benefits package!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, record messages, and handle inquiries
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Process and deposit cheques and cash receipts
  • Maintain office records, filing systems, and office supply inventory
  • Provide general bookkeeping support for all programs within the Foundation
  • Process accounts payable and issue payments twice a month
  • Investigate and collect missing invoices
  • Prepare routine reports and documents
  • Assist the Property Manager with tenant files, meetings, and documentation
  • Support accountants during year-end audits by organizing files and expenses
  • Maintain a clean and organized office and reception area
  • Other Administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in administrative or bookkeeping roles
  • Diploma in Office Administration or a related field is preferred or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience in bookkeeping (Sage 50) or accounts payable is an asset
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively and dynamically
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Acceptable Criminal Record check
