As the R&D Support Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our Hardware and Data Science teams in developing innovative precision agriculture sensor system technologies. This role will also include supporting the Farmers Services team in soil sampling and mapping fields within Western Canada during peak mapping and sampling seasons. This role will be well suited to someone that is detail oriented, well organized, excels with a variety of hands-on tasks ranging from working with hardware in a field, data collection in a lab setting, and managing the resulting data. Reporting to the VP of Research and Development, you will play a key role in data collection and testing for R&D projects.

Responsibilities

• Support research and development efforts through field and lab data collection
• Support prototype sensor system builds at our Humboldt, SK Tech Development Center
• Conduct and monitor lab tests
• Support training of machine learning models through labelling of data
• Monitor performance of globally deployed field sensor systems remotely and in-field
• Support hardware production efforts through builds of precision agriculture sensor systemsto be shipped globally
• Soil sample fields using SWAT MAPS, following GPS-referenced points
• Map fields, collecting geo-referenced electrical conductivity,RTKelevation, and field boundaries
• Champion the brand

Requirements

• Class 5 drivers license (abstract may be requested)
• Must be willing to work overtime, including Saturdays during peak spring and fall mapping and sampling seasons
• Able to travel often throughout Western Canada, including overnight stays
• Experience with MS Excel and other MS Office products
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently
• High-levelof integrity and commitment toprovidingunrivaled service
