We are on the lookout for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dedicated team at our fully equipped Edmonton facility. In this full-time, year-round position, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy equipment, ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty equipment including excavators, loaders, and trucks.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance to optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintain hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Complete detailed service reports and documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize repair orders and meet company demands.
  • Mentor and train apprentice technicians as needed.
  • Ensure all workspaces and tools are safe and well-maintained.
  • Promote Wilco's safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required.
  • Experience working with a variety of on and off road equipment.
  • Strong background in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to effectively use technology and adapt to new software or work order programs.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices relevant to the industry.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with CVIP inspections is an asset.
