As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Delivery Coordinator to join our team and help us streamline our delivery operations.
Position Overview:
The Delivery Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the logistics of furniture deliveries to our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role is vital in maintaining timely and accurate deliveries while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and Coordinate Deliveries: Manage daily delivery schedules, ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in the correct order.
Liaise with Customers: Communicate with customers regarding delivery times, delays, and any issues that may arise.
Track Deliveries: Monitor the delivery process to ensure all furniture is delivered in perfect condition and in accordance with company standards.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any delivery issues or customer concerns promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the delivery schedule.
Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, inventory, and sales teams to ensure efficient operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted on time.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks, ensuring all items are available for scheduled deliveries.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in logistics, delivery coordination, or a similar role.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of local geography.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling software.
Experience in the furniture or retail industry is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Ability to lift 30 pounds without strain
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
