Position Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible to transport goods to and from designated locations safely and according to company policy and legal requirements.
Job Responsibilities

• Complete pre-inspections of the vehicle each day before operating the truck
• Responsible to document all inspections to ensure equipment in maintained in proper working order
• Report immediately to the Shipping Manager in there are any safety or environmental issues
• Drive AZ trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods to and from designated locations
• Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts, are completed accurately and on time
• Safely secure loads on the truck for every delivery
• Adhere to all traffic law as and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, while operating the vehicle
• Use the correct loading, unloading, and dumping procedures
• Minor truck maintenance may be required
• Keep the truck clean and in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues to the Shipping Manager immediately
• Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers and the public
• Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies

Qualification Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid AZ license is required
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an AZ Driver is preferred
• Knowledge of federal and provincial regulations governing transportation of goods
• Must have a clean Drivers Abstract
• Must be able to drive a flatbed truck

• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle

• Ability to manage a fast-paced and physically demanding position
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Eight hour shift with flexibility required
• Long periods of driving required
• Exposure to loud noise and heat
• May be required to lift up to 50lbs
• Overtime as needed
