CBI Solar is a family owned and operated company dedicated to providing solar solutions and alternative energy sources for all Albertans. We have had a strong presence in Alberta since 1996 when its sister company Watts Projects Inc. opened its doors.
Hours
The expected work hours run 8:00am until 4:00pm, Monday Friday. Overtime may be required according to business needs. You will be eligible for overtime in accordance with Provincial Legislation.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct consultations with potential customers to educate them about the benefits of going solar and the options available. Working independently in your designated market, you will generate leads, close deals, and ensure a seamless transition for customers to our project management team. This position balances a customer-first approach with the ability to consistently achieve sales targets and KPIs.
Duties:
Conduct lead generation activities through various avenues, including residential/commercial marketing, retail events, trade shows, and referrals
Meet with potential clients to discuss solar energy options and provide tailored recommendations
Ensure client data and relevant sales information is accurately created and stored using our CRM
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project transitions.
Provide outstanding customer service and maintain relationships post-sale
Participate in trade shows and marketing events to promote our services
Skills and Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in sales or commission-based roles is required, preferably in solar energy, renewable energy, or related industries
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence potential customers
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of self-motivation and productivity
Sales experience working specifically with homeowners is especially preferred
Previous solar PV and energy sales experience is preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate
