Clearwater Structures Inc.is a general contractor and an industry leader in the heavy civil construction sector. We specialize in new bridge construction and rehabilitation, hydraulic lifting, concrete restoration, dam construction and several other services. We are currently hiring for aSr. Project Coordinator to assist with overseeing multiple projects from Orillia to Sudbury (Bracebridge, Huntsvill, North Bay, Parry Sound).
Reporting to the Project Manager, Sr. PC's will be responsible for:
- Understanding of contract drawings and specifications.
- Assist with Planning and Scheduling take an active role in monitoring the day-to-day activities on site.
- Critical path schedules take information from the site diary and update. Review with senior site managers.
- Source materials and issue purchase orders. Review substantial items with senior site staff.
- Ensure all packing slips for material delivered to site are coded and submitted to the office weekly.
- Track materials and ensure materials delivery meets schedule deadlines.
- Prepare submittals and review with senior site managers.
- Progress payments develop and enter monthly payment sheet, review quantities with Owners representative.
- Sub Payments develop from approved payment quantities. Review with senior site managers and submit to Office for processing.
- Change orders take an active role in identifying extras and pricing them out. Review with senior site managers.
- Schedule and track all QC aspects of the project.
- Coordinate and schedule crews, participate in weekly scheduling and informing crews of upcoming tasks.
- Quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating.
- Attend and participate in site progress meetings.
- Continue to develop an understanding of bid and costs onsite, identifying inefficacies.
- Review job site(s) to ensure compliance with OHSA and CWS COR safety policies. Identify issues to Foreman and Superintendent.
- Ensure new hire onboarding documents are submitted prior to new worker starting onsite.
- Participate in safety investigations in conjunction with senior site managers and safety department if required.
- Track costing for key item work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities you should have:
- Civil Engineering Program completed and/or 3-5 relevant industry experience in MTO heavy civil construction projects.
- Experience working with MTOs Web-based Contract Management Software (Kahua)
- Strong ability to command respect (particularly regarding OHS regulations)
- Proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid ability to be clear, concise and use appropriate professional forms of communication.
- Strong ability to form solid working relationships with team members and key stakeholders at all levels.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Resourceful, takes initiative and is flexible to changing work requirements.

Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel to various jobsites throughout region on daily basis, occasionally overnight.
- Must be willing to work overnight shifts if/when required.
- Must have full G license.
