Overview

The Commission Sales Manager is responsible for acquiring and servicing new clients to hold events. The Manager will sell and service all markets including but not limited to the social, non-profit, corporate, nightlife, in-suite, and wedding market.


Responsibilities

  • The Commission Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting, selling, contracting, and servicing Sales Contracted events as assigned. The job often involves attending industry and networking events, telemarketing, advertising and contacting the competitions client base.
  • Drafts proposals and negotiates contracts with clients.
  • Initiates contact with person or persons in charge of group. Works directly with clients on planning, and billing details and any other requirements pertinent to the event.
  • Creates Event Orders (BEO, WEO, HEO, etc.) to communicate event vision, details and staffing needs to operations team and is onsite to support and manage event as needed.
  • Maintains complete files on all future and past groups and private parties as directed by departmental standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
  • Fluency in English: additional languages (French) preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background check.
  • Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older.
  • Prior Sales Experience with track record of accomplishments. Must possess exceptional guest service and high sense of urgency. Minimum of 2 years of industry experience. Prior experience in luxury resort setting preferred.
