Overview
The Security Supervisor will supervise a team of Security Officers in a shift work environment, fostering a safe and efficient work environment, while maintaining an open door policy.
Responsibilities
- The supervisor is accountable to his or her staff, assisting with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development.
- Responsible for the protection of company assets and the reporting and arrest of criminals, ensuring the maintenance of peace and order for guests and fellow employees.
- Provides first aid and medical attention as required.
- Presents a strong presence on the gaming floor.
- Delivers exceptional customer service and ensures compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable laws, policies and regulations.
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security.
- A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.
- Working knowledge of computer application packages.
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique Certificate.
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
SKILLS
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages.
- Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
