Allied Universal is seeking Secuirty Professional in Waterloo, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Professional

Location: Waterloo, ON

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay Rate: $21.23 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Overview :

We are looking for Security Professional to work at the reception/admin post of our high-profile headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing security and providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors. You will also manage access control, issue access cards to new employees, and take employee identification photos. As the first point of contact for both staff and guests, you'll play an essential role in ensuring the security and smooth operation of the office environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Issuing Access Cards: Ensure that new employees or visitors receive the correct access cards, verifying their identity and role before issuing them.
• Monitoring Access Points: Control and monitor who enters and exits the building by checking identification and ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed access.
• Greeting Employees and Visitors: Provide a professional, welcoming presence at the reception, answering questions and directing employees or visitors to the appropriate locations within the building.
• First Response in Emergencies: Act as the first point of contact in the event of emergencies, including fire drills, evacuations, or medical situations.
• Communication: Stay in contact with other members of the security team to ensure the building is secure at all times, and report any unusual activity.
• Incident Report: Document and report any incidents or irregularities promptly, ensuring accurate details are recorded for follow-up.

REQUIREMENTS :

• 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must have 5 + years of residency in Canada to obtain site specific security clearance
• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• First Aid and CPR
