Our firm continues to grow! We have an exciting opportunity for a junior real estate law clerk to join our dynamic and growing firm in our Collingwood location.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Familiarity with the preparation of standard and legal documents pertaining to real estate transactions, with the ability to work independently on more straight-forward files being an asset;
- Performance of administrative work related to files, including: opening of files, diarizing dates, preparation of accounts and client billings, processing of payments, closing files and maintaining an organized filing system;
- Preparing purchase and sale documents, and institutional and private mortgage transactions in Unity and Teraview and assisting the senior clerks; and
- Meeting with and interacting with clients and referral sources, placing a high value on relationship-building and exceeding expectations.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience as a real estate clerk, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and will value teamwork. Working in office in a team environment with experienced Law Clerks, Assistants, and Lawyers, you will be responsible for assisting with and/or handling files related to real estate matters. A great attitude and emphasis on client experience is a must. Program specific IT training will be provided through our in-house IT staff, as required, on an ongoing basis.
