Role Summary

Titan Environmental's Senior Technician provides essential technical support to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. This role involves performing a variety of construction tasks, contributing to infrastructure development, and working under the guidance of the construction manager or supervisor. The Senior Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality throughout the project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience, a keen eye for detail, and a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and project success.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Wedge & extrusion welding geomembrane seams.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior technicians, focusing on welding skills and best practices.
  • Perform equipment repairs and maintenance to sustain peak functionality.
  • Oversee installation teams, ensuring projects meets established quality benchmarks.
  • Implement advanced installation techniques while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • General manual labour duties:
    • Pulling geomembrane liner for placement during installation projects.
    • Filling, lifting, and placing, sandbags on liner during installation.
    • Clean up and preparation duties as directed by field supervisors.
  • Ability to tow trailers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with geomembranes or liners in construction or a related field.
  • Completion of IAGI certification is required.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to guide and mentor team members effectively on-site will be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment, with proficiency in using construction machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy materials, carrying equipment, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on-site.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license (or equivalent) required.

Other Information

  • This is a full-time position; overtime will be required.
  • This position is open to candidates based in British Columbia.
