MustMustEpicure is looking for a new Forklift Driver to join the Warehouse Team! If you like to keep a warehouse organized, work with an efficient team, and prioritize safety, this might be the position for you!
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Warehouse & Distribution, the Forklift Driver/Warehouse Team Member will be responsible for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking, staging and counting merchandise.
Shift: Full time hours - 40 hours/week Preferred: Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 or 11:30-8:00
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise.
- Receiving inventory (shared responsibility) and checking product that is received meets the quantity ordered based on purchase orders and packing slip information
- Record all shortages, overages or damaged products
- Operate forklift, power jack and any other warehouse material handling equipment in compliance with Epicure SOPs (Standard Operating Practices).
- Complete required paperwork and distribute on a daily basis.
- Inspect for and ensure damaged goods are reported on carrier waybills to facilitate the claims process.
- Responsible for transportation of freight from the dock area to the proper storage area in a safe and timely manner. Prepare and affix pallet tags. Efficiently stack and store all incoming merchandise in the appropriate areas or deliver to designated department or individual.
- Prepare, pull and/or stage raw materials, containers and products for shipping and production areas.
- Ensure efficient and timely loading of shipping trailers.
Ideal Experience:
- Must have a current active forklift license
- 1 year of experience working in a warehouse
- Experience driving a forklift
- Knowledge of driving, stocking and replenishing stock
- Experience in maneuvering material, handling equipment in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, crowded conditions, wet, slippery and uneven floors and at high heights
- General understanding of inventory management systems (training will be provided)
- Ability to perform basic tasks on a computer terminal
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations with the ability to handle paperwork documentation related to job functions
- Ability to lift, push, pull and slide heavy weights up to 30 kg.
- Ability to stand, sit or stoop for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to show initiative and work with limited supervision in a team environment
