Part-Time Dishwasher
Compensation: $15.45/ hour to $16.38 Per Hour post probation
The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring exemplary hospitality services for our seniors living within the community. This position cleans dishes, cutlery, and pots. In this role, you will interact with all front and back-of-house staff efficiently, courteously, respectfully, and friendly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operates dish-washing machine to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Maintains clean, sanitary, clutter-free, and safe environment in food services areas by sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing floors, cleaning and sanitizing dish machines.
  • Cleans equipment as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
  • Follows daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Records and maintains documentation for the following measures for service standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Assists in receiving food and non-food supplies.
  • Respond to non-scheduled requests for cleaning in the Kitchen and Dining Room.
  • Conducts post-meal clean-up.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety practices.
  • Adheres to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines when performing hospitality services and maintains MSDS. Acts as a backup in emergencies.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Educational and Certification Requirements:
  • Food Safe - Level I & WHMIS Certifications required.
  • First Aid Certificate is considered an asset.
Essential Skill Requirements:
  • Comfortable working alone or in a team environment, in the absence of prescribed routines.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of the intent and philosophy of assisted living when planning and delivering hospitality services.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and deliver care and services with minimal supervision.
