Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team at Harmac Pacific Pulp Mill. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support operations by designing, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal products and systems. This position comes under a Labour Agreement with the PPWC Local #8 union and is scheduled on a 4-day/10-hour per day work week.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team at Harmac Pacific Pulp Mill. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support operations by designing, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal products and systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and systems
- Lay out and measure pieces to specifications.
- Use various techniques such as welding and using mechanical fasteners
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Red Seal Sheet metal worker
- Experience with Aluminum / Stainless Industrial fabrication
- Welding knowledge
- Layout by Hand experience
- Experience with installation of safeguarding around rotating equipment
- Over 5 years of sheet metal experience
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Must be physically capable of carrying out job requirements
- Previous experience in pulp and paper or other manufacturing industries would be considered a strong asset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating seamless collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
