VodaSafe is an exciting young company working to transform the water rescue industry. We were awarded BC Tech's Startup of the Year at the Technology Impact Awards in 2022 as well as top finalist for Telus Stand With Owners competition last year. Our first product, AquaEye®, is a hand-held scanning sonar device for waterfront rescue that was launched in 2019 and has been adopted by search and rescue organizations across North America and around the globe. We are currently selling into 48 countries and want to provide more for our customers.

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Sales Operations Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing and optimizing our sales and marketing processes, overseeing CRM deployment (including the implementation of a new CRM system), and ensuring seamless collaboration between departments. Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager will play a key role in customer support, warranty tracking, and training program tracking, contributing to an exceptional customer experience and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

CRM Deployment and Management

  • Lead the implementation of a new CRM system (Hubspot), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user needs.
  • Oversee the ongoing management and optimization of the CRM, including data accuracy and system enhancements.
  • Train staff and ensure the adoption of the CRM across the sales and marketing teams.

Reporting and Insights

  • Document, simplify and focus marketing processes to ensure all areas of the business (from product and engineering to warranty tracking processes, and customer service requests) are aligned and effective.
  • Develop and share detailed reports and dashboards to provide visibility into sales performance, pipeline status, customer support metrics, and training program progress.
  • Compile and examine sales data, assess territories and track marketing trends for products or services.
  • Performs root cause analysis of sales operational issues, and measures results against business plans and past forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership to drive informed decision-making.

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Actively participate across the business to fully understand all departments' (production, engineering, operations, marketing) challenges and opportunities and define a clear customer voice.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for sales, marketing, and customer support processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all operations.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a sales operations or related role, ideally within a hardware/physical product company.
  • Proven track record of successfully deploying and managing CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the company's growth and mission.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience creating detailed reports and dashboards to assess sales performance and marketing trends.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and providing actionable recommendations to enhance sales and operational processes.
  • Familiarity with marketing and customer support processes, with the ability to document and improve workflows.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to ensure company-wide CRM adoption and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Familiarity with sales processes and pipeline management.

Benefits

Base salary budget: $65,000-$75,000
