Job Description

As an Environmental Professional III-IV, you will collaborate with clients and staff to design work plans for contaminated sites, coordinate subcontractors, manage projects, and report on site characterization and remediation. You will have 3+ years of relevant consulting experience, particularly in BC or the Oil and Gas sector, and a diploma or degree in environmental science or a related field. This role involves travel for field-based projects.

What would you be doing?

  • Coordinates and leads environmental field programs up to 60% of the time, collaborating with Project Managers to execute fieldwork while mentoring other Environmental Professionals.
  • Conducts environmental fieldwork related to site investigation, remediation, and reclamation activities.
  • Assists Project Managers with project planning, including cost estimates, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Performs environmental site visits, borehole logging, soil sampling, and report writing for Stage 1 and 2 assessments.
  • Manages remediation projects and groundwater monitoring, overseeing third-party contractors and handling the installation, monitoring, and sampling of groundwater.
  • Completes vegetation and soil assessments, including post-reclamation evaluations and weed spraying, while building strong connections with suppliers, landowners, stakeholders, and regulators to support project success.

  • $36.68 - $51.54/hour your compensation will be based on your cumulative skills, education and work experience.
Qualifications
  • Holds a Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science/engineering and a valid class 5 driver's license.
  • 3-7+ years in environmental consulting, with strong expertise in leading assessment and remediation projects.
  • Experienced in contractor supervision, sample selection, and surface reclamation.
  • Knowledgeable in provincial environmental regulations and guidelines, with a focus on on-site investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in planning and managing work in a multi-project environment.
  • Demonstrates a proactive problem-solving approach, prioritizing health and safety while fostering diverse working relationships.

Additional Information
