The Opportunity

Building Brains Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Education Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position involves supporting a preschooler in our child care center, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to a preschooler with diverse abilities in a daycare classroom setting.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the child.
  • Assist in daily activities, ensuring the child's unique needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other team members to enrich the child's experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal education within Early Childhood Education
  • Early Childhood Certification - ECE Level 1, 2 or 3
  • Minimum 1-year teaching experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate (may be obtained upon hire).
  • Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, within the past 6 months.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, exhibiting a supportive and positive approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, time management, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs., especially when working with infants and toddlers.
