Environmental Permitting Lead – BC & Yukon

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Environmental Permitting, the Environmental Permitting Lead – BC & Yukon is responsible for leading the development and direction of projects and programs for the Environmental Permitting & Regulatory and Environmental Assessment business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direction and activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.
- Lead all activities related to environmental permitting applications and studies for Ensero projects and clients.
- Provide corporate technical support to Ensero projects with regard to environmental compliance, governance and permitting.
- Interface and communicate with various levels of government, stakeholders and communities to advance permitting activities.
- Interface, engage and consult with various levels of government, indigenous groups/governments, stakeholders and communities.
- Represent Ensero Solutions and our clients in regulatory and community meetings, workshops and events and oversee the preparation of presentation materials.
- Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact Ensero projects or our client's projects. Coordinate and disseminate regulatory information within the company.
- Develop professional and business relationships across the industry to better advance Ensero's growth and strategic initiatives.
- Leads the development of new projects and programs for the Environmental Assessment and Environmental Permitting & Regulatory service lines, including business development, proposal generation, and client relations.
- Works with the Director of Environmental Permitting and the Director of Environmental Assessment to understand business requirements and support business development initiatives.
- Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
- Mentors project team members including direction, coaching, and professional development.
- Completes other projects, reporting and tasks as assigned.
- All other related duties as required.
About You
- University degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of environmental permitting experience.
- A recognized professional designation is considered an asset (R.P. Bio, P.Ag, P.Geo, P.Eng)
- Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting setting.
- Experience in building relationships and engaging with First Nations and all levels of Government.
- Knowledge of and experience in Yukon's and BC's (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
