Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems by following detailed technical instructions and blueprints. The role involves the installation, testing, and inspection of mechanical systems and subassemblies, ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble Mechanical Components: Assemble mechanical parts, components, or systems according to technical specifications, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Installation and Setup: Install mechanical components or systems in machines, equipment, or assemblies.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and address any issues during assembly and provide solutions or adjustments to mechanical components as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly, inspections, and testing processes for compliance with internal and external standards.
- Tools and Equipment: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete mechanical assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a similar field. Experience with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in assembly.
- Good troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve assembly issues.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and the ability to work in compliance with them.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Completion of formal mechanical assembly training programs or certifications.
- Advanced Knowledge: Experience with pneumatic, piping systems.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Work will be performed in a manufacturing or assembly plant setting with exposure to machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to lift and move components up to 50 pounds, stand and perform tasks that involve manual dexterity and precision. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- Shift Requirements: Day shift and overtime as required.
