Summary
This position requires highly organized, effective leadership and experience as well as knowledge in each stage of a Bungy Jump. The Bungy Jump Masteris responsible for the safe execution of each guests bungy jump and for monitoring and leading the BASEteam.Communication with co-workers and guests is a pivotal part of this role.
The Bungy Jump Master thrives in the outdoors and is comfortable with heights. He or she is friendly, knowledgeable, and can put others at ease.To excel as a Jump Master, you must consistently apply best practices and be assertive when required to ensure that guests minimize activity risk.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Bungy Jump Master is responsible for:
- Ensuring that theBASE team is on track and doing tasks;
- Conducting day to day operations of the BASE teamand performing opening and closing duties;
- Coaching and growing theBASE team;
- Consistently providingguest service that exceeds the guests expectations;
- Ensuring that all guests enjoy safe, positive, enriching experiences;
- Ensuring the security rules are being followed by all customers and staff throughout the entire activity;
- Reporting all incidents and inappropriate behaviour of the customers or staff to Park Management;
- Reporting all malfunctions or abnormalities related to the equipment or the activity to Park Management immediately;
- Taking care of any issues escalatedeither by amending the situation or by escalating it toPark Management;
- Learning and implementing client assistance/rescue techniques in advance of need;
- Ensuring that theBASE team membersare on time for work, take their breaks, and filling in for them when necessary;
- Ensuring that theBASE team is meeting and followingWildPlay standards;
- Providing team members withpositive and negative specific feedback
- Ensuring other members of theBASE team are learning new relevant skills;
- Participating as a positive and proactive member of the WildPlay team.
- Safely executing each Bungy Jump/Swing during each stage of the operation to the conclusion of the element;
- The efficiency of the Bungy Jump Operator and Boat Operator and shall have the knowledge and capability to perform each of these tasks in addition to his/her own;
- Ensuring that he/she keeps sufficient communication with Guest Services and to facilitate smooth operation;
- Using prudent judgment about continuing operation should anything new or unusual arise, which may affect the safety of any jump/swing;
- Performing pre-opening and pre-use in-depth PPE and Activity Inspections;
- Halting operations if he/she considers a jump/swing may be in anyway unsafe, whether this is due to technical or equipment standards and must rectify an unsafe situation immediately;
Required Qualifications and Skills
The Bungy Jump Master must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Valid Standard Level 1First-Aid and CPR C
- Criminal Record Check
- Excellent oral communication and leadership skills;
- Understanding of business best practices;
- Knowledge of risk management practices for high risk activities;
- Excellentguest service skills and a pleasant personal appearance;
- Ability to manage several tasks at the same time and prioritize;
- Experience in working as a Bungy Jump Operator and Bungy Jump Retrieval on site or equivalent experience;
- Unfailing attention to detail;
- Must demonstrate good judgment and strong decision-making skills;
- Must be able to act both independently and as a team player ;
- A positive attitude and openness to feedback is essential.

It is desired that the Bungy Jump Master possess the following qualifications and skills:

Work Relationships
The Bungy Jump Master reports to the Park Supervisors and Park Manager. The Bungy JumpOperator and Boat Operatorreport to the Bungy Jump Master.
Work Schedule
The Bungy Jump Master works a flexible schedule of full time work, according to the need of the business.Theremay berequirements to travel to various site locations when appropriate, as well as working both evenings,weekends, and holidays,when appropriate and beneficial to their job responsibilities.
