Role Summary:

Reporting to the General Manager, this exciting role will act as the finance business partner to the commercial team to make a substantial impact within our ever-evolving organization.

• Finance business partner to commercial team Provides holistic financial leadership in delivering sustainable profit growth by demonstrating strong business partnership with key stakeholders.
• Monthly Reporting and Analysis Responsible for providing reporting, analytics, and insights to the business to influence decision making during day-to-day operations, month end, forecasting and planning.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity of key business drivers and drive accountability Participate in and lead discussions on process, projects, and business improvement in a dynamic industry that is undergoing a lot of change.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the National Commercial Finance function
  Support the sales team on joint business planning to identify and evaluate all risks and opportunities
  Financial analysis/evaluation and strategic input to all commercial projects
  Create a data driven culture and mentality with the commercial functions whereby commercial decisions are based on factually accurate, supportable information
• Define and develop strategic and operational performance with the Management team
  Provide support to the General Manager and through reporting and analysis enable an effective decision-making forum within the commercial team
• Interpreting competitor and market analysis and working with the sales team to determine appropriate actions and responses
  Establishing strong links with the commercial functions to ensure a no surprises relationship with key stakeholders
• Evaluate pricing and promotion scenarios to inform planning activities and on-going sales execution

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business intelligence, Mathematics, Economics, or Information Technology; working towards a designation is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of work experience with 3 years in a related field (in a FMCG company or beverage alcohol company preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Macros)
• Basic MS Office Computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
• Impeccable communication skills, analytical and Data driven
• Self-starter and able to work well independently and as a team member
• Ability to travel on occasion within Canada and Internationally, must maintain a valid Passport
