Tridon Communications is currently seeking an Inventory & Rentals Clerk for an opening at our Hinton, AB location.
Job Summary:
The Inventory and Rentals Clerk handles both inventory and rental tasks. This includes making sure rental equipment is in good condition, tracked, and returned on time. The role also involves receiving, sorting, and keeping inventory records accurate. The clerk manages rental orders, updates customer contracts, and maintains customer databases. They also respond to customer inquiries about both inventory and rentals, ensuring excellent service. This role ensures smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
What you Bring:
- 2-5 years of industry related experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in managing part records and inventory systems
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with inventory systems, NetSuite, or warehouse/administrative roles is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service abilities, with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Safety-first mindset and knowledge of safety standards for office, shop, and store environments
- Independent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to grasp new techniques and stay calm under pressure
- Knowledge of the communications industry and products/services offered by Tridon Communications is an asset
- Parts Technician Ticket or enrollment in a Parts Technician program is an asset
What You'll do:
- Promote and maintain customer relationships
- Prepare rental quotes, contracts, and verify customer credit
- Fulfill orders, ensuring equipment and accessories match the order
- Set up rental contracts, allocate suitable equipment, and manage paperwork
- Collaborate with the Manager on demand planning and material availability
- Conduct inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy in rental system
- Monitor and track rental equipment, ensuring proper movement between locations
- Process equipment returns and update contracts
- Ensure equipment is clean, serviced, and in good working order
- Run reports for outstanding orders, process lost/BER SO's
- Maintain a clean and organized rental area, including offsite storage
- Manage inventory, including parts and accessories, and communicate needs to purchasing
- Perform other duties as assigned
