Job Title: Commissioning Technician

Location:9765 54th Street SE, AB

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyman for our testing department to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and testing ICE equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and gas principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Roles/Requirements:

• Start-up and commissioning of units in the shop.
• Testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits and equipment.
• Identifying potential problems to prevent breakdowns.
• Analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving issues promptly.
• Testing Sequence of operation and working with our programming department.
• Reading blueprints and following layouts to install electrical components.
• Willingness to learn or work on natural gas or propane heating commissioning on HVAC units.
• Strong control troubleshooting ability.
• Complete Quality Check list and Factory Start up form

• Follow Safety protocol

Qualifications:

• HVAC experience and knowledge of working with natural gas or propane heating.
• Knowledge of JIC Piping.
• A Red Seal Journeyman ticket.
• Gas Ticket is an asset
• Refrigeration Ticket is an asset
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in Alberta.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
• Strong time management, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment for various service projects.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Occasionally you are required to attend site for startup or warranty work.
