About the role:

The Presales Solutions Architect is a key part of the organization providing technical pre-sales support to the sales team to design and propose solutions for prospects and customers. In this role, you will drive the technical aspects of customer engagements, providing architectural guidance and best practices to help businesses of all sizes, from startups, SMBs to enterprises, leverage the power of OpsGurus AWS solutions.

You will collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique business and technical requirements and translate them into tailored AWS solutions. Your technical expertise, customer-facing skills, and ability to lead cross-practice initiatives will be critical in delivering innovative cloud-based solutions that drive value for our clients.

Your Focus:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, pain points, and technical requirements, design relevant solution options, and help articulate them to customers, ensuring they derive value from their investments with OpsGuru.
  • Champion customer needs internally with engineering and delivery teams to vet customer requirements and articulate custom requirements when necessary.
  • Build proposals and SOWs for account teams to present to customers.
  • Craft professional written responses for prospective customer RFPs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to help win new revenue by advocating for the customer opportunities you work on with the sales team.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve service offerings to meet market demand.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Presales Solutions Architect community.
  • Work with account executives, delivery teams, partners, and client stakeholders to support the resolution of any technical, performance, or cost-related issues that arise throughout a project.
  • Learn and remain proficient in our Partner cloud platforms and technologies and contribute to responsibilities.

Skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical presales, solutions architecture, or cloud consulting role
  • Hands-on expertise with designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, preferably on AWS
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including networking, security, storage, and serverless technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
  • Proven track record of collaborating with sales teams to drive new business opportunities
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed to support sales and deployment activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification
  • Experience working with a range of customers, from SMBs to large enterprises
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
