As we scale, were searching for a dynamic, entrepreneurial Head of Sales to drive our growth in financial operations and management services. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the vision and grit to build and scale a sales function from the ground up.

Position Summary:

The Head of Sales will spearhead Enkels strategic sales efforts, leveraging a massive market opportunity and an unmatched delivery model to expand our footprint. This role requires a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution to penetrate key verticals, particularly Not-for-Profits and small businesses. You will lead the charge in building a high-performance sales team and scalable processes while contributing directly to day-to-day sales activities. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with Enkels growth goals, focusing on financial management solutions for Not-for-Profits and small businesses. Drive top-line growth across multiple verticals through outbound sales initiatives and by nurturing leads generated through marketing sources.
  • Revenue Growth & Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, building partnerships with CPA firms and other relevant channels. Manage complex negotiations, ensuring alignment between client needs and Enkels offerings.
  • Sales Team Building & Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sales team from the ground up, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to drive results. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and achievement-driven culture within the team.
  • Sales operations and Process Development & Optimization: Establish a structured, data-driven sales process, including lead generation, nurturing, deal conversion, and client onboarding. Implement sales operations and resource management practices to support scalability.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prioritizing customer satisfaction and long-term retention. Serve as a key contact for clients and strategic partners, addressing their needs and fostering trust.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and Enkels leadership team to align sales objectives with company goals. Collaborate with marketing to create sales materials, campaigns, and strategies that reinforce Enkels brand and value proposition.
  • Market Insights & Product Feedback: Gather and share insights from client interactions to influence product and service development, ensuring that Enkels offerings meet client needs and align with market demand.
  • Performance Metrics & Data Analysis: Set clear sales metrics, regularly monitor performance, and leverage data to drive improvements. Adapt strategies as needed to optimize lead conversion, pipeline health, and team efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and Expertise:
    • 7+ years in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within professional services, accounting, or financial technology. Experience with cloud accounting solutions and financial management services is a strong asset.
    • Proven ability to build and scale sales functions in small to medium-sized organizations, with hands-on involvement in achieving growth.
  • Accounting Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles and industry standards.
  • Leadership & Collaboration Skills:
    • Track record of effectively building and leading sales teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.
    • Skilled at working cross-functionally to drive organizational alignment and influence stakeholders.
  • Sales Operations & Process Management:
    • Experience in designing and executing scalable sales operations and processes that optimize team productivity and client acquisition.
    • Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and data analysis for performance insights.
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
